A unique, modern lounge opened Thursday in the old T.J. Finnegans location and has become a fresh option in Mankato's downtown nightlife. Co-owner Michelle Schoof said the new addition caters to many moods, cravings and budgets.

In a town like Mankato, it is easy to forget that homelessness exists. Still, the Theresa House, which provides emergency shelter for the homeless, had to turn down 835 individuals last year alone.
