What do the current art students and alumni of the University Wisconsin-Stout’s ALLC program have in common? More than just the number of hours spent perfecting their artwork; it goes beyond the many sleepless nights spent in Applied Arts. In fact, the commonalities branch deeper than just sharing a major.
A nice thing about the holidays is the overwhelming urge to give to others. With such spirit in the air, why not give the gift of giving? Donations to non-profit organizations in the names of those on your list will brighten the expressions of everyone you care about during the holidays.
The sweet and spicy aroma of hot cider tickled the senses of the audience as Fergie’s voice boomed from the speakers singing about labels or love. The models gracefully trampled the red carpeted runway that ran outwards from the sliding glass doors of The Niche, the student-run store located in the second floor of the Home Economics Building.
You may have noticed that there is a large amount of students enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in creative and artistic majors, and not only in the fine arts department. A number of these students are in the Apparel Design and Development program which is a major that is almost always recognized as extremely creative.
“Australia” is a nearly three-hour long sweeping epic taking place in the Outback of Australia during the early days of World War II. It’s a love story that deals with social issues. It also is a historical film dramatizing the first attacks of the Japanese in Australia.
For those of you who have read the book, this movie may come up a tad short. Like every movie that is based on a book, the movie cannot hold a candle to the book detail-wise. Also, the movie cannot live up to the way people imagine things in their heads. There is just no comparison to the human imagination.
