The University of Wisconsin-Stout paintball club recently performed in the paintball nationals which took place in Lakeland, Fla. on April 17-19. The tournament was hosted by Central Florida Paintball. The team roster that participated in the event consisted of Chris Davis, Luke Haugen, Joey Nagle, Shawn Nagle and Mike Steinbrink.
As the season progresses, the University of Wisconsin-Stout women’s softball team seems to have hit its stride winning six of its past eight games. This run of success comes after a stretch where the team lost 10 of 12 games, which put it near the cellar of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings.
The 2009 NFL draft held many surprises even draft gurus couldn’t foresee. Detroit’s expected selection of former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford as the first overall selection was predictable, but Oakland’s head-scratching selection of wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey seventh overall shocked the National Football League world.
As if the challenge of building a cohesive unit with a young roster wasn’t hard enough, Mother Nature hasn’t been willing to make the Blue Devils’ baseball team lives any easier. Two games were cancelled and another postponed as winter has shown it isn’t going away without a fight.
