The international comedy sensation God's Pottery is bringing its unique blend of "inspired and inspiring" acoustic Christian folk to the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. "I think people from all walks of life will be entertained by the music and teachings of Gideon Lamb and Jeremiah Smallchild," said Erik Simonsen, Mabel Tainter executive director.

Thank you, Eau Claire, for presenting the world with another musical gem in The Daredevil Christopher Wright. The talented folk rock threesome will be concluding its nine-month nationwide tour with a show here in Menomonie on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., brought to you by Blue Devil Productions.

Recycled Art

The Recycled Art Show took place on Nov. 12 and was a great success. This show was a community-wide event that allowed students and children to turn recyclables into artwork. The event was sponsored by Dunn County Solid Waste, Sustainable Dunn, Greater Menomonie Area Community Foundation, West Wisconsin Land Trust and University of Wisconsin-Stout organizations including GreenSense, Stout Student Association, Inter-residence Hall Association, University Honors Program, The Environment Sustanibility Office and the departments of biology, art and design and recreation.

Local Fine Arts & Crafts On Display

The 10th Annual Mabel Tainter Fine Arts & Crafts Faire on Friday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is an enjoyable way to shop for Christmas gifts while perusing original artwork created by over 32 artists. Celebrate the season with friends while partaking in a downtown Menomonie holiday tradition-you might even bump into the spirit of Christmas roaming the staircases of the beautifully decorated Mabel Tainter.
