University of Wisconsin-Stout students will soon have another way to find jobs in western Wisconsin. No matter the student's major, background, personal life or current job may be, the Smartt Network will help to prepare them further for what is beyond. "It's an opportunity network," said Brian Douda, executive producer of the Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corporation. "The Smartt Network is designed to help students explore new opportunities around careers." This online marketplace will encourage students and those already working to check out the labor market in western Wisconsin from areas like Rice Lake, Hudson, Black River Falls and all the way through Abbotsford. With this new regional labor market solution, students can create a confidential professional profile for companies and corporations to view and analyze. Employers will be able to search these 'resume profiles' by key words or by students' experiences. Students at UW-Stout can begin to take advantage of this opportunity as it becomes available to them in a few weeks.
