Dunn County Humane Society
The Dunn County Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter that always needs more to keep the shelter running. Monetary donations are always accepted, but the shelter has a wish list of items they need for the animals, such as food, bowls, leashes and much more. And, if you are really short on money this year, donating your time to the shelter is also a good gift. DCHS accepts volunteers year-round. For the complete DCHS wish list, go to http://www.dunncountyhumanesociety.org/Wishlist.aspx.
Dunn County Interfaith Volunteers, Inc.
This non-profit organization manages three community programs. One of these is the House of Hope, a temporary shelter for the homeless. The second of these is the Interfaith Food Pantry, which provides food and other items for families with limited income. Finally, there are Interfaith Caregiver volunteers, who provide support and other help to the elderly, disabled and isolated members of Dunn County. To contact Dunn County Interfaith Volunteers, Inc., call 715-235-2920. A separate number for the House of Hope is 715-235-2975.
The Bridge to Hope
This nonprofit shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault is always in need of donations. Not only does the shelter accept cash, but it also needs a lot of personal items due to the fact that residents stay at the shelter cost-free until they can move on to something better. You can find a small wish list online at http://www.thebridgetohope.com/how_you_can_help.htm, along with other information about donating to the shelter. As with many non-profit organizations, volunteers are accepted.
The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts
